|Great product, incredible value,
Bought this product after a employee snapped their power adapter off. Since the price was soooo competitive we purchased two as a courtesy for the employee to keep one at his work desk and one at home. We couldn’t be happier with the power adapter. It doesn’t get wicked hot like most knock-off replacement adapters. I would recommend this sell anytime!

|Good product, better customer service,
I ordered this adapter when my original Sony crapped out (underscoring my desire to switch laptop brands on my next purchase). Loathe to spend the appallingly exorbitant price that Sony wanted for a replacement, I looked around for a more reasonably-priced choice and came across the Anker adapter here on Amazon. I figured that for ~$15 I couldn’t go wrong. In fact, the adapter was great, lighter than the original and with a longer-than-standard cord.
Unfortunately, around 14 months in, the new one died on me. I figured that I was simply out my $15 since it had been over a year, but I checked just in case and discovered that Anker actually has an 18-month warranty (surprisingly generous). I sent them an email, and while it took them a little longer to get back to me than promised, after a couple of days of emailing back and forth they shipped me a new adapter with no fuss. I was originally worried that I might have problems because there was no serial number sticker on my dead adapter (either it was missing to begin with or it had fallen off) but the rep simply asked me to take photos of the adapter so that they could track down which supplier had made it. While their QC obviously isn’t perfect, I’m impressed with their desire to improve.
So, the bottom line: a good value, and some truly good customer service backing it up (Sunnie, if anyone from Anker reads these reviews). The only downside was that I would have been out of a laptop for about a week if I’d waited for their process to conclude. As it is, I was only out for a couple of days as I found an even cheaper replacement here on Amazon and ordered it because I had no idea how long the warranty process might take. The thing is, when the cheaper one arrived, it worked just fine, but it truly felt cheap. The Anker, by contrast, actually feels well-made and at least equal to the original Sony in quality. If I ever need an affordable power adapter in the future, I’ll look for an Anker one first. One star off since it broke in the first place, but in light of the price and service, it’s still an excellent deal.
